There have been quite a few publications lately about the changing workforce and the role social business and collaboration tools play in this change. Thinking about how business is evolving from a collaborative perspective, I was reminded of a commentary CIMdata published late last summer titled “The Changing Face of Collaboration”. If you haven’t read it, I encourage you to take a moment to do so. You’re certain to learn something about what’s in store for business and the emerging workforce. If you have read it, I suggest you read it again. As we have witnessed over the months since this commentary was first released, collaboration is taking business by storm and it’s past time for businesses who are behind the curve to start devising a plan to address it. A re-read just might motive you to do so!
A handful of read-worthy social business articles and blogs have been published over the past month that we think our readers would be interested in checking out. This is certainly not an all-inclusive list, but if you haven’t had the time to read through them as they’re posted on Nuage’s social media sites, here’s a small collection of articles and blog posts we found especially informative in relation to the Social Business Collaboration space.
It is often the simple and overlooked things that define a company’s culture – the lunchroom, the water coolers, the pictures hanging on the walls, and more. All of this directly and indirectly contributes to and creates the work environment in which we flourish, or in which we don’t.
Nuage is excited to announce the launch of the Nuage Technical Paper Contest in India! The contest, open to university students at IT and engineering universities and polytechnics across India, aims to support international business and education efforts and promote the advancement of Social Business Collaboration on a global scale.
Companies are empowering their employees with the accessibility to Social Media as well as their investment in social-based business tools for the workplace. These transformational business methods are seen as investments to help employees become more effective in performing their daily business functions and therefore, allowing their employees to be more productive. On a more personal level, empowering employees instead of the traditional IT policing of employees is enormously gratifying!
